Every event at the ranch begins with a flag-raising ceremony. Veterans stand side by side, saluting the waving vast symbol of freedom they fought for and friends died for, while patriotic music echoes across the peaks. Many tear up. Some go quiet. All feel something shift deep within. This flag has become more than fabric. It is a starting place of a healing week, a deeply spiritual reminder of what God, family, and country truly mean.

The installation of the flag was no small feat. It took three full days, multiple cranes, and a 15-foot base sleeve to secure the pole in 100 yards of concrete and surrounding sand for wind protection. In 2025, the original pole was snapped by a 110-mile-per-hour gust and thrown 1200 feet down the hill. It was left there as a monument, a living reminder that honoring the flag at this elevation does not come easy, but it is always worth it.

This mountaintop place for Old Glory has become a sacred gathering place for veterans, their families, and those seeking to remember what America was founded on. As it waves in the Mountain Sky, it echoes to everyone who sees it that this land stands for something greater. A beacon of freedom, sacrifice, and divine presence planted firmly in Sunnyside, Utah soil.
